Guests Savor Shinshu Delicacies Against the Backdrop of Matsumoto Castle (Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, April 16)
Over the weekend, the hallowed grounds of Matsumoto Castle, a national treasure in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, transformed into a culinary stage for the “Delicious Journeys in Matsumoto” dinner event. Nine chefs showcased their skills using Shinshu region ingredients, delighting approximately 80 guests, including foreign tourists, with Shinshu Wagyu beef, sake, and wine.
The event was a collaboration between Tobira Holdings, a luxury inn and restaurant management company based in Matsumoto, and Relais & Châteaux, an exclusive association of hotels and restaurants from around the globe headquartered in France. Tickets were sold for 100,000 yen each, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the conservation of Matsumoto Castle.
